Scottish Talis Insight 2007
Abode Hotel, Glasgow, Scotland
September 4-5, 2007
We are delighted to welcome you to this year’s Scottish Talis Insight Conference.
This free two day conference is open to all executives and information professionals across libraries, local authorities and educational institutions and is not restricted to our existing customers. We welcome all of you with a keen interest in shaping the future of your services to join us at the event.
The two days will be focused entirely on the Scottish agenda. There will be presentations and interactive sessions on the strategic objectives and issues facing both Public and Academic libraries in Scotland. With an opening presentation from Dave Errington, Talis CEO, Scottish Talis Insight will also include innovative case studies and successful project initiatives from different libraries.
The goal of this event is to bring together thought leaders that are driving shared services and making Scotland a magnet for learners, academics and businesses. Also, Talis will showcase our products which will provide solutions for the issues that libraries face at the moment, some of these include;
- Integration of the Library Management System (LMS) with other corporate systems (Talis Keystone)
- Access to high quality bibliographic data (Talis Base)
- Management of Community Information resources (Talis Engage)
- Integration of the NEC Smartcard with the LMS
- Efficiencies in the procurement supply chain (Talis Gateway)
We are aware that many libraries are looking to expand their systems to meet the growing demand of their customers and corporate partners. Various libraries are evaluating complementary products from other suppliers. Whether you have DS Galaxy, Dynix Classic, Ex LibrisTM ALEPH®, Infor Vubis Smart, Innovative Millennium, Ramesys Genesis or SirsiDynix Unicorn LMS, this event is open to you. Come and see how Talis can address the issues that libraries are facing.
