Highlights of the Spring 2008 Roadmap

  • Latest version of the Talis LMS, Talis Alto
  • As well as 38 defects resolved in Talis Alto 4.3 there are a host of planned new capabilities including allowing borrower account's to be in credit and a dedicated field for Smartcard numbers. The full list of planned features can be viewed on the Talis Alto forum.

  • A flexible new OPAC, Talis Prism 3
  • An entirely new, fresh OPAC interface that provides additional features such as multiple language selection (by the user) and a full range of data enrichments will be released shortly. Delivered as a centrally hosted application, Talis Prism 3 can be easily customised to your local institution's identity.

    You will be able to schedule your upgrade to Talis Prism 3 in a similar way to the Lyra Programme. For more information, register to attend a webinar or contact your Account Manager.

  • An advanced Electronic Resource Management solution, Project Xedio
  • The next generation electronic resource management system will provide seamless functionality between printed and electronic resources.

  • Community information solution, Talis Engage
  • Recently launched, continual development of Talis Engage will be driven by the customer demand. Planned functionality includes record update management. If you would like to influence future development contact sales@talis.com.

  • Integrating your LMS with the wider institution, Talis Keystone
  • Seamlessly integrating library services with Internet Payment Engines and Identity Management Systems, due to go live this summer. To discuss your integration needs contact sales@talis.com.

  • Extending your library service with self-service, Talis Bridge Pro
  • New offline capability is now available through Talis Bridge Pro, securing service continuity 24/7. Features planned for later this year include monitoring and reporting, and a configurable user interface.
