Information regarding the works held by a library and outside the library’s stock can be obtained by using the search facility provided with Talis Alto. You can access the search screen either via the Other menu, Bibliographic Search option or via the Bib. Search button wherever it appears on a form.
Searching allows you to:
Select which database (or target) you wish to search. This could be:
Your local database.
Other remote databases [Searching remote targets]
Enter your search terms in the appropriate search field and start the search.
View the results in the Results tab and examine the details of a record using the Full Record tab if required.
Review the searches you have already carried out in the current session and re-run them if required using the History tab.
