Your System Manager can automatically shutdown the Talis Alto system, terminating the sessions of all users who are logged in. In such instances, you will be warned beforehand by a broadcast shutdown message, advising you to save your work and log out. You should not attempt to log in again until advised by your System Manager (the shutdown message itself may include information about this).
The message is automatically displayed in a pop-up window and remains on the screen until closed using the 'X' box in the right corner. An example shut down message is shown below.
