Talis Services website FAQs
If you have any questions concerning the new Talis Services website, please send an email to mark.summers@talis.com, or post a message on the Talis Services website forum.
Why have you changed the support website?
We've recently introduced a new My Support service, so we saw this as an opportunity to introduce a simplified services website with an improved search engine.
Can I still access the previous services website?
Yes. Whilst we're making improvements to the new website, you can still access the old pages. Eventually the old support site will be removed - you'll be given plenty of notice prior to this so you don't lose your bookmarks.
What has happened to Talis Solutions?
Talis Solutions has been replaced by our improved My Support service, which you can learn about in our Getting Started with My Support document.
How do I register for the new My Support service ?
If you've not already registered for the new My Support service, please click here. You'll be sent a password allowing you to log in.
How do I access the new My Support service?
Once you've received your password, you can login using the My Support tab, or the login area on the left of the screen.
What has happened to my existing Talis Solutions calls?
When you join the My Support service, all your existing will be transferred to the new My Support service.
Can I search Support Solutions without logging in?
Yes. Nearly all of our Support Solutions can be accessed directly from the Services website. Enter your search term on the left and click the Go button, or click the Browse button to see a list of Support Solutions listed by category.
Is the Talis Knowledgebase going to be replaced?
Yes. The Talis Knowledgbase is being replaced with an improved site search. You can try this out by entering a search term in the search box at the top of this page. This will search all of the content on the Talis website (including documentation) as well as forums and blog content.
Where can I find out more information about the new search?
Please read the search tips, or watch a video from the Help Centre.
Can I search Support Solutions and the Talis website at the same time?
No. We've decided to separate these two domains in order to improve the search results in each area. For more information about searching the Talis website, read the search tips.
Can I still use the Talis Knowledgebase?
For the moment yes. We'll continue to refine our new search until it's providing the best possible results for our customers. Once this is complete, the Talis Knowledgebase will be discontinued later in the year.
Can I suggest improvements to the new search engine and Services website?
Yes. You're invited to tell us what you like (or don't like) about the new search engine and website. Please send us an email with your suggestions, or better still, leave a comment on the website forum so other customers can read your suggestions.
Where have the documentation pages gone?
General documentation to support your Talis environment is available from the Help Centre page. Documentation relating to specific applications is now available from the relevant product microsite. These now include all the information relating to a specific product. So the Talis Alto Microsite, for example, contains downloads, release notices, videos, and community documentation.
How can I keep track of any new documents that are published?
To ensure you don't miss a single document, simply subscribe to the documentation feed, or check the documentation forum, where you'll find links to all new releases.
