If only there was someone clever enough and with time to spare enough, out there to take the amazon thing, librarythingthing and whisper map further ... How about, for the benefit of those studying English Literature, media, art, etc it would be possible when using OPAC to locate copies of items to do with e.g. Shakespeare there is a link to local entertainment websites etc so the borrower can be told where they could go and see a performance of that work, or an exhibiton of works by that author writer etc.
Just thought history could be included here with links to exhibitions or events at local history sites etc. picked up from museum websites.
