University of Mancester - Open Source implementation of View My Account for uPortal

The University of Manchester have provided their implementation of the View My Account API, as an open source download.

The University Of Manchester have developed and gone live in uPortal with a JSR-168 portlet implementation of the Talis Keystone View My Account API.

The open source distribution is designed to point to the instance of Talis Keystone running on the sandbox area at sandbox.talis.com. By default the distributed portlet will request the borrower called Matthew Good, who is one of the test borrowers configured for the sandbox.

There are two downloads available:

• This J2EE WAR (Web ARchive) file can be deployed immediately into a uPortal container (there is a guide of how to deploy a WAR file here). You will need to publish a portlet channel with Portlet Definition Id of LibraryPortlets.LibraryViewMyAccountPortlet.
• This Zip archive file contains all of the Java source code, 3rd party libraries, configuration files and Ant build scripts that created the portlet.

Please note that these distributions contain 3rd party open source binaries, it is the responsibility of the end user to read, understand and adhere to the license conditions of each of these libraries.
