This book provides an overview of and guidelines for the installation, implementation, and maintenance of the Drupal content management system, phpBB bulletin board technology, and WordPress blogging software.

Unfortunately the book was published too late for implementation of the Talis Forums and I didn't discover it until after re-launch of the Talis Developer Network itself. I am hoping that it will be invaluable in expanding both of these platforms over the next few months.
