I downloaded db_analyser.zip but when I try to unzip it WinZip says the file is corrupt.
Anybody know where I can get an uncorrupted version?

I've downloaded the file using IE and Firefox and the the zip files were OK.
Were there were any particular errors.codes reported when you tried to open the zip file? Can you try on another PC just to check? By the way what operating system is on the PC?

I have downloaded the Zip file to 4 PCs, 3 with XP and 1 Vista, all using IE. Any attempt to unzip with various software, WinZip included, produed errors. However for some reason it would unzip apparently successfully on Mac!
Running that extracted exe on a PC with Talis Alto it seems to start OK but hangs when it gets to the 'Documenting catalog as HTML' section with the heading User Tables: and the top progress bar at approx 60%
After ending the task I am left with a file called usertablesindexpage.html. The last line of which contains the string HREF="./usertables/LCK_ord_exp_dae.html">LCK_ord_exp_dae
Any ideas?

I've tested here and the hanging is in a different place on one database but completed successfully on another one so it may have a local component to the problems as well.
We are having a look at the application and will get back to the thread with a response.
The TDN does have articles on the database structure so there may be something that might be useful in the meanwhile. If you have a specific question then you could start a new forum thread.

A new version of the Database Analyser program and article have now been posted on the TDN on the Talis Alto Database page.

Hi,
If necessary, I think you can try an utility called Advanced Zip Repair to repair your Zip file. It works rather well for my corrupt Zip files. Its web address is http://www.datanumen.com/azr/
