Project Whisper

Talis Whisper is a research prototype application that demonstrates the power of using Web 2.0 technologies to deliver innovative solutions in the Library domain. As a concept-car demonstrator you will find a mixture of capabilities within it, that you may not find in a final product. Nevertheless the fact that such diverse functionality can be easily integrated in to a single application, demonstrates the real power of using such technologies.
Feel free to try it out below, the data and services it is built upon are live. If it is your first visit to Talis Whisper you may find spending a few minutes with the Using Talis Whisper page helpful. If you have any questions or suggestions about Talis Whisper please contribute to the Whisper Discussion.
[Update] A TDN videocast explaining and demonstrating Whisper is now available - Richard Wallis introduces Talis Whisper.
As a demonstrator Whisper was designed to work with early prototype versions of software which are no longer available. Everything shown in the video, and more, are possible using the Talis Platform services.
